Plush yet refined tropical aroma with rich, sweet liquor boasting crisp, clean fruit flavors of pomelo, lychee, pineapple, pink lemonade, wild strawberry, fruit striped gum, and hard candy along with herbal tones of Earl Grey black tea and chocolate. Floral, tangy, vibrant and juicy.
This seven hundred and seventy pound micro-lot was grown and produced by Menardo Diaz on the southernmost border of Colombia where it joins Ecuador. Don Menardo was able to purchase this high altitude, one hectare plot through farming and husbandry in nearby Putumayo. His savings and a Banco Agrario loan has made it all possible. He has a wet mill and drying facilities at Pedregal that he operates with his wife, Luz Marina, and his son, Carlos.
Our good fortune has brought us a second opportunity to offer the Pedregal Pink in its second year of importation. Like its forebear, this coffee has a complex array of fruity and herbal characteristics. This year’s harvest is even more outspoken in the cup while still retaining a highly sophisticated structure. If you are one who appreciates the captivating elegance of light roast Pink Bourbon, make sure to get this year’s harvest while you can.
After repose, this coffee is sealed in Grain-Pro barrier packaging in Colombia and then sent on its way to our Roastery where we preserve the green coffee under hermetic seal until it is roasted as part of our Barrington Green Seal Program©
