Testi Ayla Natural
A toned down, dry natural with toasty, chocolaty tones of both milk and dark chocolate and delicate, creamy strawberry, raspberry and blackberry flavors. Finishes strong with berry tones opening up further on cool down.
This Kurume landrace variety has been cultivated in Shenta Wene, Sidama, Ethiopia under the direction of Faysel Yonis and processed at the Testi Ayla Washing Station. We are offering this coffee as a part of our 2021 Summer Curated Collection which includes three contrasting coffees from the same producer.
This super high grown coffee has been natural processed and sun-dried on raised beds over a period of 10-12 days in traditional Ethiopian fashion. The care with which the natural process has been undertaken, however, has rendered a most delicate and understated result. We find it particularly compelling in its subtlety and a wonderful contrast to the bold profiles created at Testi Ayla.
This coffee is a part of our Origin Certified™ Program. The Testi Ayla Natural has been certified at origin as having been produced without the use of pesticides, herbicides or synthetic fertilizers.
After repose, we seal this coffee in Grain-Pro barrier packaging in Ethiopia and then send it on its way to our Roastery where we preserve the green coffee under hermetic seal until it is roasted as part of our Barrington Green Seal Program©.
