This Kurume landrace variety has been cultivated in Shenta Wene, Sidama, Ethiopia under the direction of Faysel Yonis and processed at the Testi Ayla Washing Station. We are offering this coffee as a part of our 2021 Summer Curated Collection which includes three contrasting coffees from the same producer.
This super high grown coffee has been anaerobic fermented for 24 hours, and then slowly shade-dried as a natural process (with skin and fruit intact) over a period of three weeks. The result is a deeply saturated, fruity cup with an incredibly long finish. It’s is also a potent and straight ahead profile when compared to the Natural and Double coffees from Testi Ayla.
This coffee is a part of our Origin Certified™ Program. The Testi Ayla Winey has been certified at origin as having been produced without the use of pesticides, herbicides or synthetic fertilizers.
After repose, we seal this coffee in Grain-Pro barrier packaging in Ethiopia and then send it on its way to our Roastery where we preserve the green coffee under hermetic seal until it is roasted as part of our Barrington Green Seal Program©.
