Delicate candied floral qualities of elderflower, orange blossom and butterfly weed, with smooth flavors of caramel, vanilla, maple syrup and cotton candy and lacy flavors of apricot, jasmine, green tea and bergamot. A pour over lover’s dream.

Froilan Muñoz is a second generation coffee grower in Nariño, Colombia. When he initially established his farm Brisas del Mayo at 6890’ he was concerned that the high altitude climate might be too cold for cultivating coffee. What he found was that the environment at Brisas del Mayo helps to protect the coffee trees from infection by coffee pests like Broca and coffee diseases like Roya.

Perhaps the greatest asset of the terroir at Brisas del Mayo is that the slower maturation time due has proven ideal for coveted Coffea arabica varieties like Gesha, Pink Bourbon and Castillo. The climate offers ample time for these varieties to develop delicate, refined and elegantly complex cup characteristics.

After repose, this coffee is sealed in Grain-Pro barrier packaging at origin and then sent on its way to our Roastery where we preserve the green coffee under hermetic seal until it is roasted as part of our Barrington Green Seal Program© .
