Our Gichuka AA received a 95 Point Score from Coffee Review in September of 2023!

Pungent aroma with thick, creamy body and winey, fruity and spicy flavors of Cabernet grape, ripe cherry, cola, black currant, licorice, black tea and chocolate. Saturated, structured, winey, tannic and huge. Perfect for all drip brewing processes and wonderfully refreshing when iced.

Gichuka AA is produced by the 750 small producer members of the Gichuka Wet Mill in the Central Highlands region of Kenya. Gichuka producers cultivate around 200 hectares of land and are a part of the larger Kimaratia Farmers’ Cooperative Society (FCS) which is made up of 2200 producers. Gichuka was formed in 1985 and continues to cultivate the most revered of all Kenyan Coffee arabica varieties: SL 28 and SL 34.

We have secured four bags of this amazing coffee, approximately 600 pounds. This is an old school Kenyan coffee profile that is guaranteed to take Kenya coffee lovers to the next level.

The Gichuka AA is also available in our Africa Tasting Pair and our Africa Sampler.

After repose, we seal this coffee in Grain-Pro barrier packaging and then send on its way to our Roastery where we preserve the green coffee under hermetic seal until it is roasted as part of our Barrington Green Seal Program© .
