The Keremara AA is back again after an email outreach from Farm Manager John Kimono Keremara Jungle Estate is a family run, farming collective established in 1974 and is currently managed by John Kimondo. The farm is in a unique microclimate with spectacular deep red hued volcanic soil. It is located high up in the Nyeri Highlands between the Aberdare and Mount Kenya mountain ranges. Aberdare Mountain Range. This coffee was produced entirely from trees of the much-admired SL28 arabica variety.
Because of the extremely verdant and productive nature of this climate, the family has named their farm Keremara. Keremara means “beautiful high place” in the Kikuyu dialect. John Kimondo’s management practices preserve this dynamic natural environment and are a critical component in the creation of this vibrant Kenyan cup.
