Deep, tropical floral aroma with lacy jasmine undertones and crisp, tangy flavors of melon, guava, strawberry and citrus syrup. Elegant. Gesha like.

Finca Progreso is located high up in the clouds at 6890’ in the Nariño region of southern Colombia. Andres Muñoz has worked in coffee for his entire life and saved up enough money to purchase Finca Progreso. He originally cultivated the Caturra variety alongside Pink Bourbon, both of which are Coffea arabica varieties that perform well at cool, high altitude locations. Over the years he has phased out the Caturra and now only grows Pink Bourbon. In turn, he has made many critical moves to enhance his processing techniques with a focus always on quality over quantity.

The result of his efforts is nothing short of sublime. He crafts subtle, delicate qualities from his Pink Bourbon that render it akin to a Gesha like profile.

This year he produced a 4 bag lot, totaling just over six hundred pounds. We have the good fortune of being able to secure his micro-lot in its entirety. Get it while you can!

The Progresso Pink is also available as part of our Colombia Tasing Pair.

After repose, this coffee is sealed in Grain-Pro barrier packaging at origin and then sent on its way to our Roastery where we preserve the green coffee under hermetic seal until it is roasted as part of our Barrington Green Seal Program© .
