Aroma of lily and bergamot with juicy flavors of melon, white peach, pomegranate, lychee, rambutan, strawberry, kiwi, red raspberry, citrus and apple, herbal and spicy qualities of high alpha hops, allspice, lychee tea, fir, evergreen, sumac, chocolate and walnut. An embellished, eau de vie like Gesha that delivers as delicately tropical with a sweet, round finish.
Juan Jose has produced this wonderful Red Honey Gesha on his farm Finca Araya Acuña in Naranjo de Alajuela, Costa Rica. This extremely limited offering is a part of Coopronaranjo’s micro-lot program. The Red Honey process involves the very slow drying of pulped coffee under partial shade. The effect of this process has helped to coax out and embellish a broad array of floral, fruity, herbal and delicate spicy qualities that are inherent with the Gesha Coffea arabica variety.
After repose, this coffee is sealed in Grain-Pro barrier packaging at origin and then send it on its way to our Roastery where we preserve the green coffee under hermetic seal until it is roasted as part of our Barrington Green Seal Program© .
