Floral rose, jasmine and black tea character with thick bodied herbal, savory biscotti and cacao flavors punctuated by Meyer lemon, lime, blackberry, cassis and honey. Delicate tropical fruit qualities emerging on the cooling cup.

The production and processing of this very special small production, super high altitude Yirgacheffe from Iwariti is overseen by Senay Hailemariam at the Idido Washing Station. Senay Hailemariam works in consort with Ashnafi Argaw and the Ardent Coffee Production Team who we have had the great pleasure to work with over many years in a variety of incarnations.

The washed Iwariti project is now in its second year. This year, processing has been enhanced with a short anaerobic preprocessing phase. This additional stage has further sweetened the coffee profile and helped to shape a truly elegant Yirgacheffe cup. We hope you enjoy it’s luster as much as we do!

After repose, this coffee is sealed in Grain-Pro barrier packaging at origin and then sent on its way to our Roastery where we preserve the green coffee under hermetic seal until it is roasted as part of our Barrington Green Seal Program© .
