Our Progreso Pink has won silver in Traditional Washed category, U.S. division, of the inaugural Kenneth Davids Cup with a 96 point score!
Blind Assessment
Elegantly complex, vibrant, deeply sweet. Raspberry, cocoa nib, pink grapefruit, honeysuckle, almond in aroma and cup. Bright, juicy acidity; plush, satiny mouthfeel. The finish is long and flavor-saturated, with lingering raspberry, cocoa nib and honeysuckle notes.
Notes
This coffee won 2nd place (Silver) in the Traditional Washed category, U.S. division, of the inaugural Kenneth Davids Cup. Produced by Andres Muñoz of Finca Progreso entirely of the Pink Bourbon variety of Arabica, and processed by the washed method (fruit skin and pulp removed before drying). Barrington Coffee Roasting Co. is an artisan roaster dedicated to elite coffees, fresh delivery, and roasting that foregrounds the coffee and not the roast.
Bottom Line
A beautifully composed Colombia Pink Bourbon, simultaneously lush and buoyant, with vivid berry and citrus notes supported by cocoa nib and rich florals.
